Philadelphia: from the press of the late R. Aitken, by Jane Aitken, 1804. Volume six, part one, of the Transactions of the American Philosophical Society. Robert Aitken, printer of the Pennsylvania Magazine and of the first English Bible printed in America, died in 1802, and his daughter Jane kept the shop going, which is why the imprint names both the late R. Aitken and Jane Aitken, at No. 20 North Third Street.

The volume follows the fifth volume of 1802 and continues the series that began with the Bradford volume of 1771. A small round hole in the title leaf, beside the volume line, lets a line of the next page show through.
