Eighteen inaugural dissertations of the years just after Rush's, bound as a contemporary owner kept them and indexed in his hand — 'all the above Gent. except the last graduated in Sep. 1773.' William McIlvaine's De Anorexia of 1771 is a Philadelphian's Edinburgh degree; George Pearson's De Putredine of 1773 is dedicated to William Cullen and Joseph Black and inscribed by the author to Thomas Gibbons. Nine photographs: the bindings, both contents lists, and the title and dedication leaves.
